;D Sorry couldn't resist. My mare isn't due till end of May but I noticed tonight that her boobies are really puffy, they weren't like that yesterday . Her teats are nearly hiding in them as they've grown so much. Should I be worried?? She's in a field down the road as there's more grass. I think I need to bring her back to the yard just incase. Is this normal?

Perhaps it is just the extra grass that has caused her to puff up slightly? My mare always used to start bagging up around 4 weeks prior to birth, until I though she would burst. But they are all different.

My mare isn't in foal this year but she has just gone onto some good grass and she has HUGE boobies now!

My old mare has an udder like a jersey cow for at least two months before foaling. They are all different, but if you are sure on your covering dates she wont come early. Another of mine always has a bigger udder when she goes out in the morning and its smaller by evening again.

Our mare who foaled at the weekend had been bagging up since Christmas! - the first year we had her we didn't know when she had been covered so went into panic mode and had her in and the foalcam on for about 2 months! ... 7 years later we are used to it and a little more relaxed.
We now have 2 of her daughters in the stud and they both like to do the same!

Thanks guys. She's been on the grass for 3 weeks now and just the last few days I noticed a change. Anyway to save any panic i've brought her back to the yard today so I can keep a better eye on her. She's a had a good groom today as she's moulting everywhere.
