My beautiful German Mare gave birth at 2.40am this morning to a huge black filly with a white star. She was exactly 2 weeks early yet continued her trend like all her births.
Sire : Maxwells Nescafe - Coloured Sweedish WB x
Not exactly what i orderd as mare is coloured aswell but very happy. A textbook delivery.
Her name is KiKi and will be known as " All Eyes On Me "

How can you get a solid colour foal from 2 coloured parents??

Both are doing fine and will get some pictures up today.
Unless the either parent are homozygous there is no guarantee of a coloured foal. The gene must of jumped a generation or 2 as the mare is dressage bred and her dam was bay and the grand sire was also bay.
