We had the hard decision today to put our beloved Sheep dog named Gel put to sleep at he very grand age of 20yrs old, just had his 20th last week!! He was such a superstar, but the past few days, his legs started to go, and he was off his food, He never ever had to go to the vets in the 20yrs we had him, thankfully vets were kind and came to the house to put him to sleep. You were such a beautiful dog and it was such a pleasure to grow up with you, and always was a mans best friend. R.I.P Gel xxxxxxxxx

Happy to help
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his Tongue.

;DIn regards to feeding he was having Asda mixer with Asda meat tin!!!! He was always an outside dog, very hardy, but well pampered!! He just loved his life, and never ever got ill, not once. It's nearly a week since he has gone to doggy heaven, the other dogs I am sure are still looking for him they are rather depressed to be honest, even the postman has been asking where he is, and was devasted when we told him, but like I tell people, he had the most wonderfull life, and I always said once he would not be able to get to stand and the day he went off his food (he loved his food) was the day he was telling us he has had enough, I know some may think we could have found what was wrong as I have already had this comment at work, but blooming hell like the vets said he was over 140yrs old in our age!! and to be fair, he had gone extremely thin and looked awful to someone who didn't know him. Anyway thank you so much for your kind words Thank you guys

You did the right thing for him - we had the same with our Taran we just looked in his eyes and we knew he had had enough - he was 100% loved when he was with us and five years on I still think of him often and we have never been able to replace him. I'm sure the two of them are having a whale of a time up there chasing rabbits.
