Hi all im 15years old (16in august) and I show my welsh A in hand I just wondered what is the correct thing to wear? he's bight bay with 3white socks and 1 mixed black/white sock. Im guessing light trousers, tweed jacket but what on my head?LOL! also an specific tweed? I had brown with a red/orange stride threw at the moment. Ill be doing M&M small breeds, veterans and M&M open in hand and M&M home produced ect only at local level (equifest, royal london ect) thanks

Most 'A's around here are shown in trousers, shirt & waistcoat.

Beige trousers, tweed jacket, shirt tie, tie pin. Shoes that are comfortable to run in, I use my jodhpur boots and I wear a velvet hat with flesh coloured harness but a flat cap that matches the jacket also looks very smart good luck!

a waistcoat would be fine too but I think tweed is a little more correct for mountain and moorlands

Yes, I think a lot of rule books do state that. I would rather be safe then sorry though if theres naughty horses flying about, which seem to be on the increase...... :/
