Hi everyone I am hoping that someone can give me some advice. I have 2 mares in foal. The first mare is totally fine although she is now 5 days late! Tha second mare is due in 9 days she has been very well all through the pregnancy and is huge! She has been properly bagged up for 9 weeks now, both sides are huge and the same size, it is'nt hot and she is in no pain or discomfort and happy for me to feel and look! She has had for some time wax/liquid leaking which drips onto her legs, the vet says this can happen and not to worry as she is fine in herself. Tonight however when I fetched them in she was really waxed up but just on one side! Is this normal?  Should I worry??? Please any advice welcome x x x x Maihem Red Alert   Maihem First edition   |

How exciting!!!! A foal on the way  If I were you I would just keep an extra close eye on her as you may have a foal by the morning |

Phew thats a relief! I really cant wait for the foals but love the mares to bits and would hate for one of them to be not right!

Same advise as above would think anytime if you havent already got your baby They can knock the wax off as quick as it appears xxxxxx |

Hi Everyone. No News at all the wax has gone and both mares are normal. Although their muscles have slacked off and they are both really bagged up!!
D'Abernon Fantasy is now 9 days over the other mare is due anyday!!!

Mine usually foal early hrs just as its getting light, good luck all sounds normal and imminent.

Maihem First Edition (Eddie) Born at 9.10pm last night!! Beautiful Bay 4 very even whites and a nice stripe down his face!!! So pleased all went to the book and mum and babe are fine!
Will put pictures on later x x

Thankyou hatman yes I'm really pleased with them. Alert is a first foal for that mare and 4th foal for the other mare.
Its my stallions first lot too so I'm doubly pleased that i've got one of each x x
