Trying to get a jacket that doesn't cost the earth for my very very tall and very skinny 16 year old son - it's driving me mad!
He currently has a 35 inch one from Derby House - really nice tweed but now far too short in the arms and in length. the smallest men's jackets I can find are 36 and the shoulders are silly on him - looks like he has a coat hanger in!
Where can I get a decent tweed that might fit?
I know that the kids' Shires ones have the buttons which go either way (boy/girl) but they only go up to 32 inch.
Would it be easier to get a not too fitted woman's one and have the buttons altered? Has anyone done this before?
At wits end!

give Janet a ring at Le Beau Cheval, she has always made my daughters as she has the same problems, and they fit fantastically and same price as one off the peg. tel no 01200 445 137 and you have choice of hundreds of different tweeds to pick from.

Have a chat with Kim at Mrs Candy her jackets are made for slim people and her standard fit are already made longer in the arms, she also sells 2nd hand ones in her jacket exchange.
