I've just put my Chestnut mare in foal to Crimson Defence of the Realm and I know it's early but I've already been thinking of show names and the prefix that I want to register. I've got my own young colt which I'm hoping to keep entire and cover my own mares with. However, until he's old enough to be licensed I decided to put my mare in foal.
And now I have no idea what to use as my prefix. I wanted something that meant something to me, like using mine and my mum's name because we'll be breeding together.
My name is Amie and hers is Karen. Or something completely different would be good. If you could throw some ideas at me I'd be dead chuffed!
Thanks a lot!
Amie xx

We went with our farm name, normal but easy to search a website on line I tried to steer away from anything that sounded similar to another persons also.

my friends who breed in sussex used the first two initials from each of her 4 children to make up her prefix! I know this might not work just with you and your mum, but have you any other family members you could include?
