Do you any of you know of a type of hood/rug set that will keep poo off a grey Highland? I've got a few dress circle body suits and they are great on my Fells, but my Highland seems to like the warmth of her own poo at night and is usually covered in lots of green poo in the morning. Had her in a dress circle lycra, dress circle fleece and a lightweight outdoor rug on Saturday night and it made no difference. Maybe a turnout hood would be more poo-proof?

Turnout hood and a stable rug maybe? Or a stable rug with a neck?

Is a stable rug more poo-proof than a turnout rug though? I thought the latter would have helped, but sadly not!

Not sure, the quilted stable rug types may be slightly more absorbent?

i have a grey myself and know how stressful it is to keep him clean, i use a supreme product full face and neck hood aswell as a turnout neck rug I also use a supreme product whitening spray which is like a white spray paint which instantly covers any poo stains. hopes this helps x

I have a coloured who uses his poo for a pillow, so I use a lightweight TURNOUT COMBO as its waterproof, so no lovely squishy poo gets through it soaks straight through lycra and fleece

I have the same problem with one of my highland's, it's a nightmare, i have never owned such a filthy pony !!! what i have found works best for her, bearing in mind, they get too warm if rugged up with thick stable rugs, is a Snuggy Hood turnout, i bought the full one without ears, yet she still managed to get pooh in her ears, and its almost every morning, i called Snuggy, and asked could i buy the ears to sew onto the hood, they very kindly sent out them free with sewing instructions, for her body i use an old horseware summer sheet, its made of thin nylon so does stop the pooh seeping, i have to wash it all every week and once in a while i reproof the whole lot, In cooler weather, i use a Amigo lightweight turnout with the shuggy hood in the stable, winter she is clipped and has a stable with neck cover and the Snuggy Hood head ( no neck bit ) turnout hood, she uses her pooh to sleep on im sure as every morning she has a green eye...............i skip her box out last thing around 9pm......yet she still finds one to rest her head on..........my other grey mare is spotless, does her pooh one side of her box and lays on the other side,
