2 arabs were taken from a field 50 yards from where mine are. 3 were taken from a field just down the road.
please be on your guard - will find out details from police today and post them.

I will move this to the STOLEN area on the front page so it doesn't get lost in the lounge.

Hi there,
I have called the police at Rugeley this morning and nothing has been reported??
I know Colton well and it's only a small village, can you confirm the details please?
Thanks,
Redhorse xxx

the 3 that were in one field had been let out and have been found. not sure where the other two were in colton as the ones i thought they were are still in field. there are alot of horses around colton tucked away in fields over a large area (colton village is small but colton parish is very spread out!) will try and find out more later as at work right now.

the cannock ones have been confirmed by the police and there have been legitimate sightings of these people in Ingestre which is around 4 miles away and has a large riding school as well as a well known show rider there
ETA: depending on where in colton they were taken from, rugeley police may not have been informed as the top end of the village is covered by uttoxeter

hi all, i am new to this so please bear with me. i have just spoken to staffordshire and sussex police and both are saying that they have not had anything reported, although stafford police did say that the text was a hoax and they had had no horses stolen in the last month. how come the police know nothing about this, when everybody in the horse world has recieved a msg of some sort about sightings of these vehchals and eastern european men. i am really really hoping that this is all hearsay! but with the ammout of people on every forum knowing someone who has had there horses stolen it is very scary indeed

I thought this was chinese whispers, but last night a friend of mine caught some men taking photos of his horses and reported them to the police. This happened in Lathom in Lancashire.

Hi yes i to have had the texts, but last night we had a message via the neighbourhood watch to look out for the red 4x4 and the van with Polish guys registration numbers provided to ( sorry not at hand) it seems funny to have come through non horsey contacts if there is no truth in something. Best all just be more aware regardless.

Supposidly they take pictures then show people who want to buy them and if they like them go and rob them. Just be on guard and make sure you have bolts on your gate!! Hope your ponies are okay.
