I seem to go through a pair of gloves every other week I don't like doing yard work/riding without them, but I have nails and I keep putting my fingers through the gloves. I've tried various makes, but not having much joy at finding gloves that last. Anyone got any suggestions? I take a size 6.5" or XS and that seems to restrict my options as many are only available in a size small upwards and they are too big. (Tried kids gloves but same issues!)

I need to know too! I have naturally long nails, and won't ride without gloves. The ones I have at the moment just go past my first knuckle, and I got them at end of April. They are the adult version of 'Magic gloves'! You can get gardening ones which are cheaper, but they only last a tiny bit longer. I've tried the Ariat ones and they didn't last that long either.

Once my pair of Roeckls get a bit to knackered for showingthey become my work gloves, they last really well,I've had a pair for 18 months now that have been resigned to home and working in,they stil last realy well,my sister had a pair for 2 years! expensive but really last,I have naturally long nails but like tight fitting gloves so I have 2 pairs of size 5 Roeckl Grip gloves, one yellow pair for showing and a brown pair(or was a brown pair til one got lost!) for home. I can't ride without gloves,I get really bad blisters from the rains pulling through my fingers when my hands get hot.

I've tried Ariats and I liked them but they didn't last terribly long. I tried my old show gloves too, but they left my hands all brown when they got wet carrying buckets, etc.

Second ariat gloves, come in summer and winter thicknesses and go down to 6.5. My sister has horribly long nails and uses her gloves a lot. They don't last ages but seem to do pretty well compared to some others.

I used to have the same problem but I got a pair of mark Todd gloves about 6 months ago and they've been really good! Jack murphy ones are the best for on the yard but they seem quite difficult to find in the smaller sizes.

Have you tried schwenkel gloves? I have got a pair which have had for ages! Unlike roeckl, they haven't fallen to bits and you can put them in the washing machine too - which I discovered accidently - they come out brand new!

I have exactly the same problem as have nails and quite long fingers. And I too would highly recommend Roeckles! Great for riding in as feel like a second skin, and even though they're thin they still manage to keep my hands reasonably warm.

I use Roeckles for competing (they are my favourite for fit - I have long fingers and slim hands), Ariats for day to day wear in the spring/summer/autumn (also a good fit) and I have a pair of the Mark Todd Thinsulate winter gloves for this time of year as they keep my hands lovely and warm and are great for riding in as well (Guestless they are the same as the ones on your link).
