It depends on type...... if its a show hunter type turn out in tweed......plaited pony/plain browband/hunter quarter marks/sharks teeth etc If its a show pony/ hack type then navy jacket...... plaited pony/coloured browband/up side down triangle quarter marks/sharks teeth Evening..... navy jacket for both with a stock and a top hat if you feel safe enough

Most people in pba classes wear a tweed jacket and discreet coloured browband on the pony regardless of type, in pba classes my shp is in a coloured browband, and when i had show ponies i wore tweed. Although navy is also correct but rarely seen? In evening classes navy is correct across the board even m@ms

but how do Top hats work for someone 13 yrs old Didn't realise you was asking for a 13 year old.... although some still do wear top hats at that age depending on society rules, personally I don't like seeing children in top hats but thats just my opinion! At cheshire, puk and equifest all the hack type part breds had navy jackets, there was a couple in tweed but they were either show hunter types or riding horse types.
