Wanted simple/ cheap but effective 'things' to do for my daughter who 18 very soon. The ideas we need are not so much on what to buy as a present but nice touches / thoughts / ideas - did you have anything done for your 18th that you loved or have you done something different for anyone ? - we need all the help we can get PLEASE on this as we need to make it special for her

I gave my daughter a course of treatments that got rid of all hair on her legs, underarms and bikini line which NEVER grows back! She loves it and it will last her lifecost. cost about £500 in all.

I did a series of photos for my sister for her 21st, similar to teamwebster. I collected loads of photos of my sister, from baby to recent, scanned them and then used microsoft publisher (I think) to fit them onto big letters spelling out her name so she had her name spelt out in big letters made up of the photos. I printed each letter on A4 and put them in clip frames and she has them on her bedroom wall.

What about a 'memory box', filled with all those things that we all keep from our childrens milestones and don't know what to do with! For instance I have things like 1st birthday cards, first shoes, a lock of hair from their first hair cut, the outfit they wore when I brought them home from hospital. And things like school photos and reports, that photo we all take on their first day at school, you get the idea!
