LR SHP or M&M

I have a section a which we are just getting to grips with lead rein classes entering as M&M . i am cosidering trying a LR SHP class as well as a M&M class this weekend at the same show , mainly just for us to gain as much experience as we can for pony , leader and rider. Do I plait my pony up though her mane is lovely and long and plaits will look too big, and then take out after the shp class, and what about her tail should i plait then take out also.do we do anything else in the shp class - are there any obstacles etc. Or maybe i should just stick with the M&M class?!! Any comments?

If it is a local level show, why not do the equitation for a practice then you dont need to plait up?

I agree, you can do smartest on parade aswell.
