Has anyone else entered these classes & had a letter from Three Counties stating you have to be a BSPS member to compete/qualify? We have entered the LRHT. The schedule states "Ponies must be owned, regeistered & ridden by members of the BSPS, NPS or PUK to compete in classes with Horse of the Year Show qualification". We are members of NPS. The following paragraph then states " This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society, owners & riders must be registered with the BSPS to compete in classes with classification for HOYS. Ponies must be owned, registered and ridden by a BSPS member in order to compete." I queried this as the 2 regulations contradict each other & was told that the 'BSPS' ruling was previously in place but it has now been superceded by the BSPS/NPS/PUK ruling. I have now received a letter advising that BSPS confirm that I am not a member & therefore not eligible to compete unless I join. Has anyone else had a similar letter? Can we compete as members of NPS? Have Three Counties made a mistake in the schedule? (the Open Show Pony section only has the BSPS/NPS/PUK regulation) All offices are closed now for the bank holiday so can't get it clarified until Tuesday

Highill, you will only get a letter if are not a BSPS member.
I can't register the pony with BSPS without joining aswell & if I have to be a BSPS member why does it even mention NPS & PUK?
I will query it again on Tuesday when the offices re-open but would like to know for certain before then!

I know, it's confusing!
For HOYS Show Pony & SHP classes you used to have to be BSPS members.
I will ring NPS & Three Counties on Tuesday - but I will be claiming a refund if their schedule is wrong!
