This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK) . Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of

CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete, but in order to qualify they must both be showing members and the horse/pony must be registered with the Society BEFORE this show for the qualification to be valid ( except

Ponies UK/BSPS qualifiers where Membership & registration, if not already in place, MUST be made within 14 days of

The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 29th, 30th & 31st August 2008 . Shows Held after the closing

The Champion Young Handler is to be awarded the Very Special Granddad Whitfield “White Cap” Memorial Shield, In Loving Memory of a Special Granddad very much loved and missed by us all, Who help the show immensely since it first started. This is a Perpetual Trophy and offered on the understanding it will be returned by the 1st June 2009 and Can Be Engraved with the winners Details. Granddad Fred was a firm believer in children having fun and doing their best and I am sure he will be looking down and smiling on all of you on show day.



YOUNG HANDLER CLASSES JUDGED ON HANDLERS ABILITY TO SHOW THEIR PONY IN HAND AND CARRY OUT SIMPLE TASKS SUCH AS PICK UP A HOOF AND LEAD ROUND A SET COURSE IF REQUIRED, HANDLERS IN THE 10 YEARS & UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BUT NOT HELPED IN THIS CLASS. HARD HATS AND SUITABLE FOOT WEAR MUST ALSO BE WORN, TURNOUT IS SECONDARY IN THESE CLASSES BUT A NICE PRESENTATION LOOKS BETTER.
