On thursday morning I found my dear little devon cat Mimi had been run over, the horrid people had just left her in the road. By the time i found her there was nothing left of her tiny little body. We are all totally devastated by this, all of her cat family are very down , as im sure that they know. I need ideas for a plant for her grave, something mad and a little odd .

Thanks you guys , we miss miss Mimi so much Not really very good gardeners, have bought some cat mint seeds, so hopefully her friends will go and have a roll and spend some time up there. will have to find a plant that can compete with the horsechestnut tree that she is burried under.

How old was she?
When my last cat Henry died, I was ashamed of myself how pathetic I was. I mourned him like a true family member - as they are !!!

She was only 20 months old. All our cats are very special to us, but by two devons are mine and only really tolerated the rest of the human family. I suppose its lucky I found her, at least im not searching ,waiting and hoping like some poor cat owners have to. I just hate the way they just left her in the road, but perhaps they didnt know. I will now NEVER drive past a dead cat in the road, even if it is a horrid job to do.

Just seen this and I too am sorry for your loss... I have two cats myself and would hate for either to have that fate... As it is, only one chooses to go out and he's pretty streetwise, but there are some downright cruel people out there. I too can't go past a dead animal in the road, but only once did I feel the need to scoop an unfortunet cat off the road, this was on Boxing Day night one year I hope you are now coming to terms with her death and remember the short but no doubt happy times you had with her.
