How very sad - another of our old boy's contempories, often stood next to each other in line when he was with Debbie and ridden by Gemma James. Not quite as old as our boy so very sad that he has passed away so soon. An amazing pony love to all his connections - one of the 'greats'.

Thank you to everybody for your kind thoughts and comments on the loss of our beautiful pony. Freedom sadly came down with terrible laminitis soon after we bought him. It was a heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep but best for Freedom as he was in constant pain and no matter what pain relief he had nothing would touch it, despite all the plastic shoes, injections, medicines etc etc, the amount of rotation followed by the sinkage and protrusion was too great. We just cannot believe it ourselves, he had no change in routine, had not been out to grass, nothing just one day fine the next lame, the next crippled and remained that way. He was a superstar very kind and loving always, we are very very sad, he was very brave throughout his illness but we could not let him suffer any more. We miss him terribly and Becca is so sad to have lost her once in a lifetime pony and she never even got him in the ring to show off that big trot he had. Rest in peace our pretty boy with no more pain. Booth and Mitten Family xxxx

so sorry. loved your pony from the first time we saw him when we first arrived back from australia in 2006, seriously thought about buying him, but by the time he was for sale, Kate was out of 14.2s, he always looked the most beautiful kind pony. the marfleets

Such a tragedy. Was he not out at 2A earlier this year (or my mind playing tricks)? Thoughts with Freedom.

Such horrific news, I was at Debbies whilst he was there, was literally only talking about him the other day how he didnt like to be plaited at the top of his neck!! Oh & I remember his 'curly fur' after being washed!!
Beautiful, elegant true to type pony RIP

Thank you, we were chatting to Kev Roberts at a show yesterday, everybody is devastated, it was a decision out of our control, we tried everything to save our beautiful boy but he was just not responding to anything and the speed at which it progressed was unbelievable. He was a once in a life time pony and we loved him dearly...........We miss you freedom xxxx
