Yes, had Equi chaps for my boy. Turns out that he had a bad reaction to them and ended up with Lymphangitis. Must have been a reaction to the neoprene. Incidentally, he only had them on for turnout during the day. Now I use woof wear brushing boots all round and over reach boots for turnout without any problems!

I used to use them but IMO I think there absolute rubbish!! Made ponies legs all sweaty and boiling hot and mud gets up between skin and boot so can't imagine it being very comfortable for them! As above I use over reach boots and brushing boots on anything accident prone

I used the Eqilibrum hardy chaps all winter on my TB, they stayed on well, we dont have much mud so it only went up to the heal not on skin, I prefer them to brushing boots, but use brushing boots when it hot! She did take a few chunks out of the neoprene, so to me that proves she could have hurt her legs if not waering them!
I will continue to use them!

I use some similar to hardy chaps and love them, the only down fall is that in the wet weather they need cleaning and washing and somewhere warm to dry if putting back on the following morning. That or a spare set to alternate.....mine have never had mudfever x

When my eventer was still around I used them in the winter on him as he had ringbone and I needed to keep his joints warm(er) Our C also wore a set to prevent mudfever. I can't remember which ones they are, but they worked really well for both of them, kept them dry no problems with mud, and are one of the things I have not stuck on Ebay!
