Im going to a show on sunday and one class is young handler class (age 20 and under) - What is the judge looking for ?? I dnt know whether its worth my while entering this class?
My mare is aprox 15hh - is she a pony or a horse, some of the classes are above 153 cm but I think she is smaller then this does this meen she can go in bonny pony class?
Also she is a little overweight and so I am guessing there is not much point in entering best condition class am I right ??
Please reply asap either on here or pm because I need advice asap Thanks

In the young handle class they only look to see how you handle the horse! Stand them up correctly, walk away do a 'tear drop turn' and trot right back, trot back to line but try stop and salute if the judge is watching! this is what you normally do! however some judges may say different! just do what the judge says to do! You should be fine. Do the classes say '153 AND over?'' then she'd be in that, if they say ''OVER 153cm'' then I guess a pony! Depends what breed she is on the weight situation! my pony was over weight, in my eyes, but he won all classes! depends on the breed... there's a lot of over weigh ponies out there! Hope this helps a little.... Good luck! Have fun Xx

I know you are supposed to show in tweed jacket n shirt etc which i dnt hav - i hav blue jacket shirt n stock n white johds etc , willl this make a difference or shud i find a cream shirt and tie and not wear a jacket? or perhaps i have a white gilet i cud wear?? along with my white johds n long boots - which would be best ?? xx
