I have had stock by all of these except for Mastermind! Dont forget Whitmere Sandpiper who sired so much beautiful stock for the Sages, Basford Elegant, and as BR says Valentino and Bounce! Orielton Aristocrat has also left such a legacy through his stock. Kilvington scoundrel, Keston Royal occasion.............So many many more

What about Gems Signet? Think he was gelded at four but, amongst others, was the sire of Holly of Spring.

What about Gems Signet? Think he was gelded at four but, amongst others, was the sire of Holly of Spring. Agree. And, Many small TB Stallions, incuding Ardencaple, Rudi and my late Mother's illustrious McGredy and his son Celtic Ballad. But, the Patriach of them all has to be B. Zephyr, Zingaree and Zip's sire Bwlch Valentino and NO-one has mentioned him. Just too far away for the young people to care about, I suppose.

Agree Bwlch Valentino surely the grandaddy of them all - Scoundrel has sired some fab prolific ponies but for me personally Strinesdale Mastermind because he is the daddy of our best boy - Stanleygrange Puppeteer. For the future I also think Stanleygrange Royal Appointment will be up there - know I would love one by him.

Basford Elegant was a very influential stallion

Orielton Aristocrat was the most influential sire of lead rein and first ridden ponies in this country and if you look in the RI or HOYS catalogues you would find that most of the ponies there are by him or are his grandchildren or great grandchildren so Aristocrat for me!! Behind him Beckside Little Toff who sired 14 finalists in the LR/FR and 128cm at RI this year. He will be 21 next year and covered a mare again yesterday and every mare he has covered this year is tested in foal!!

Botingelle Swansong produced me alot of fabulous Yealand ponies, they were all very nice temperaments, and couldn't half move! Kilvington Scoudrel is also a high favorite of mine, although some Scoundrel babies were easy going, others can be a bit sharp, still fantastic movers, and real prescence about them! x
