The only way PUK is going to get their 'customers' (if thats what you can call them...) back is by lowering the entry fees for a start!! I only ever went to PUK once (2008), and probably won't ever again tbh. Doesn't have any sort of atmosphere or friendlyness - well, thats what I thought anyway. Has it ever? I wouldn't know as I've only been the once. Equifest has a few concours classes - side saddle, open, lead rein, first ridden, non native and native. I love equifest and I don't think I've come across anyone that doesn't like it!

This year will be my 4th year at ponies uk and have met some lovely people, and throughly enjoyed the atmosphere, and every year I hear people saying oh I am not going to Puk because of the expense and well I can honestly say my classes have been the same size every year and I keep seeing people travel for championship qualifiers so the proof will be in the pudding this year.

Puk!! We went to Equifest the other year and just found the atmosphere a bit flat all round. The indoor was small too, they had all 40 concours in together and there wasnt room to breathe let alone move! However did find the judging mostly fair and the show was organised but personally just find puk more fun and friendly!!

we visited puk last year, have never been so bored in my entire life! equifest is where i'm off to this year, the entry fee's etc. are cheap as chips! £100 for stabling for the duration! i'd be saving £20 off stabling by going to equifest instead of bsps!

We go for the HOYS at PUK and do the full 4 days at equifest, the prize money is better, the entires are cheaper, we saved £45 on our entries becoming members of equifest. We haven't been back to PUK since the 'clapometer' disaster!

I stopped showing at PUK about 20 years ago when it began to go down hill. I went again this year to help a friend and remembered why I stopped going. I've never come across such rudeness and arrogance from show organisers. Good Luck to Equifest.

Well after being back from Equifest it was a fabulous event, fab evenings, think they were slightly a 'victim of their own success'! Compared to PUK, I would say about same atmosphere wise, as for some reason I love PUK! BSPS, this year was good, (& we had some fab results!!), but the showground is no way near as good for parking, stabling as PUK & Equifest is. Also evenings at BSPS are a bit falt IMO. Equifest - Best competition/evenings PUK - Atmosphere BSPS - Rosettes & sashes are gorgeous! ;D Equifest & BSPS again next year I think!
