just happened to be walking past a ring at a show on Sunday,OK I gather that it was only A FUN CLASS going on I was appalled to have seen a small child dummy in mouth wearing a cycle helmet on board a pony

:(i agree with you totally , you have to be so careful these days with regard to safety, what were the organisers doing to let this take place, you werent at the same show i was at yesterday by any chance were you ?, one set of rules for themselves and outsiders not welcome , i am still furious what area were you in ?

:(we were at the same show and oh how appaling it was !!! the worst i have been to in a long while, might, as well of burnt the money i spent on entries and diesel, though i was more disappointed on how the judge upset my daughter , but i did learn one good thing and thats that i will not be attending again !!! live and learn

just reliesd :-Think i was at the same show it was terrible no wonder there was not an accident both stewards and judges need to stick to there day jobs waste of money will never go there again :onot lived in the area for long but if that show was any think to go on think ill hang my boots up

I am not from the area and have no idea which show you are discussing - but

I understood all shows put the "all mounted competitors must wear a correctly fitted riding hat" of such & such minimum spec in their rules. I would have expected the judge/steward to have enforced this -if only for their liability insurance cover to remain effective. By not dealing with it they could be considered to have condoned it and so any accidents would have been very serious.
