Betsy just to hijack this thread. I sent my entries in to you directly for nps classes and they seem to have been accepted (got them back on our conf sheet ) but I have been told they should have gone to NPS ? sorry to be a pain!

Melons - were the NPS classes the ones in the Equifest schedule or the separate NPS schedule? The classes in our schedule come to us - the ones on the NPS schedule should go directly to the NPS...!

Maybe this will mean people pay and book stables way in advance for 2012 equifest i know i will be booking my stables as soon as Betsy is taking money for them as I will probably need 3 stables next year - i am just doing some steward this year as have no ponies to take I hope you will all accept that it has become such a popular show due to the great atmosphere and it wont' be spoilt by those that have not managed to get stables and are cross about that.

vickyanne .... if Equifest have been swamped with entries/stabling requests (especially those received close to the closing date) i hardly think that is their fault and certainly no reason to say 'very badly run this year'
we too have been to Equifest every year since it started and so both you and I have seen this show grow massively year on year .... so it has come as no great surprise that everything has sold out for the 2011 show ... if Betsy could fit you in, she would ~ Betsy has organised and run large shows for many, many years and is extremely well-organised, polite, fair and totally genuine
for future reference, may i suggest that one stable & one non-championship class per pony is entered as soon as the Equifest schedule is made available and then you can add further classes to your booking as you wish/qualify ~ that is what I shall be doing
this year, we didnt enter until July as we hadn't been sure if we would be able to go and we found that we couldnt have the stables we wanted. However, we sourced some for sale here on Horsegossip and so were lucky ~ if we hadnt been able to get any stabling then i would have immediately accepted that it was MY own fault and my fault only
good luck for the rest of the season

Yes I agree that the team at equifest are great. Unfortunately we are still in the no stable pile even though we did send in our entries by the closing date and have been equifest members all year. I think it came down to where you came out in the postbag.
I too do understand the situation however it's really hard not to be disappointed as we have qualified in a number of classes, we are paid up members, put on qualifiers at our own organised events and have booked holidays from work.
We are still living in hope that things may still change and we will be able to attend this year.
If it's not to be, good luck and enjoy if your going, it's great fun. I think this will be a lesson learned when we make decisions where to go for our holidays next year.
