Not all of you, actually very few of you ...
if a class states not before 12 and doesnt get started until later in the day due to excellent entries, is it ok to ring up the thursday after NOT the monday and shout at the secretary .......
I think not, We have addressed the issue for 2009 by making a later not before time, we had no spare rings, you cant alter the running times once you have gone to print, nor can you judge how many entries you will have or how many will be forward.
Thankyou to all you nice competitors, but if people knew how hard it was running a show, how do we know what will be forward and entered, hence we give a not before time ........... Sorry to say this is the only time i have hung up on a competitor and informed my bosses about the torrent of abuse sent, It will not be tolerated and must remind folk we reserve the right to not accpet anyones entries, lady forgot i did a 1471 and can check it against my records quite easily !!!

If this was the welsh classes, I personally heard numerous apologies over the tannoy for the delay. The A&B judge seemed to take her time, but the C & D judge was really quick! Did hear a couple of whinges about him and one lady in the C Barren mare class did miss her class, after waiting all that time. Didn't really hear anyone moaning about the lateness of the classes though, people seemed quite good-natured about it.

It was stated not before 12pm, but i have altered that to 2.30 in 2009 and i bet we have an empty ring, you just cannot forsee or alter times when you send a schedule out, this is honestly the only moan to us directly we have had, this person said i must have had lots but nothing about this at all and very few in general, why not come and say something, im not going to apologise for the excellent entries, had a ring become avaliable i would have started the c & d earlier, but space is limited and everyone wants a decent sized ring !!!

we also put on our schedule for example not before 12.30 pm or 1pm etc and you can guarantee you will have people waiting at the ring at this time thinking the class is going to start at this time, unfortunatley due to late entries , weather etc you can never guarantee the time. i do try explaining that it is a not before time and most people are happy with this but you always get one that will moan and moan !!! at the end of the day keep up the good work and i am sure there are more people who appreciate what you are doing than those that dont , though i dont think you should under any circumstances have to take verbal abuse over the phone 4 days after a show

Thank you ellieraga, i mean if it annoyed her so much why not call before, that was my gripe we listen to all gripes and try and improve on it, i couldnt change the timings in the catalogue or on the day or would have caused more upset, i have changed it for next years but will me gelding and supreme welshies will have to wait longer if classes are no so full !!! Ive had so many praises for sunday, this i suppose really upset me, but i am that way inclined, i mean when you get up at 4am to start some show work before kids go to school, maybe im just overtired but there are not enough hours in the day, must admit as soon as the daylight comes im awake.

Emma, don't let them upset you, it was a well organised, friendly happy show, some people just have it in their nature to whinge and you'll never please them, no matter how hard you try.
