Hmmm... I would be very wary of anyone claiming that the colours they are breeding are unique. I would say that these are probably not full GSDs due to the colour.

Just like the Aericans to mess with colour. They do it with the welsh ponies too. Lovely lovely dogs though. Mine is an old girl now, Would love a liver and tan one.

You can get blue, white and liver GSD due to a diluation recessive gene and is often considered a serious 'fault' in the pups. It can be carried for generations before producing a pup. The difference between the Liver gene and the Blue gene is that the Liver gene blocks the formation of the black pigment entirely rather that simply diluting it as what happens with the blue gene. This site makes intresting reading on the subject: www.bluedogs.8m.com/info.htmMust admit I didn't realise any of this until I started digging around. I think it's intresting and the pups look lovely

Very interesting reading - thank you for both clips. I love the blue GSD;s but did wonder if they would have health complications. From reading the above post - it appears no more so than any traditional black/tan etc. I didnt like the pibald ones at all Thanks for sharing the info x

Not sure about the piebald ones but the blue/liver etc are defanietley full shepard...They look like they are from working stock as my GSD looks like that, she is from working stock but is defanitely full shepard.
