Hi, I am trying to get in touch with anyone who has had dealings with Bonfields horseboxes at Kegworth, Derbys. They buy and sell second horseboxes. Thanks

Over a year late but I bought off them in 2010. Box was un-roadworthy, I tried to return box but was just ignored, had several court cases which they failed to appear, got a CCJ and high court writ against them, Finally got money back 2012 through bailiffs.

They were featured in a recent programme which showed the court bailiffs going after them. I bought a wagon of them years ago wagon was a nightmare, luckily I got money back and returned the wagon.

Don't wait for your MOT to expire, as his boxes come with 12 months MOT. This is too late for you to have any claim when you find out your horsebox is a pile of ****. Not a good company to buy from and the MOT is not a good indicator that the vehicle is roadworthy. They are as dodgy as they come. Would not want you to go through what my friend has gone through.

We bought our lorry from them 3 or 4 years ago- 1st one wasn't very good - but we had bought it unseen/untried (or rather my husband did) I tried to drive it about 2 weeks after they delivered it but it was too big/heavy - they took it back and I went and chose a different one - they spent a fair bit of time with me helping to choose/test drive etc. No problems and very helpful and it has flown through its last few MOTS, came with full history and receipts etc.

friend won her court case and has got her money back with bailiffs. Bought with 12 months Mot, 3 weeks later it was inspected, and they said it was dangerous.. Strange how copy of first mot failure list matched what was reported dangerous. Dodgy mot!

I have a pending court case against Bonfields (aka Midlands Horseboxes) as I was sold a HB with 12 month MOT/Plating that after having it inspected turned out to have a rotten chassis that could have snapped in half at any time! Thre is no way this HB would have passed a legitimate MOT. If there is anyone on here that would be willing to help me win my case please get in touch!!! I do not think this company should get away with putting peoples and horses lives at risk by selling dangerous horseboxes.

Hi,
Has anyone had any recent dealings with these people or rember if there was a Brian involved?!
I am looking at a horse box of theirs and googled them, to find all of these terrible reviews. I queried the chap about them to be told that was when they were owned by someone else.
Any more info?
