Yes, Arden Grange, it is expensive to buy but you only need to feed a cupful twice a day. Your dog will be happy, healthy, glossy and full of energy. If they made it for us, I would eat it myself. My friend changed her jack russell onto it as it was moulting all the time, since feeding Arden Grange, there is no shedding problem and the dog looks great. Only available at good kennels and pet shops. Totally reliable.

Millie has Bakers Complete, £6 odd for a big bag and without wishing to put anyone off their dinner, poohs are nicely 'pick-uppable', whereas other more expensive foods tend to be a bit rich for her.
Oh and vet says she's ideal weight for her size and a picture of health!

My Boxers have Chappie complete and Waitrose tinned meat with pasta or the tins of Breeders meat with the red label. They both look fantastic and are as manageable as Boxers can be!!!! Tried them on Burns and they had terrible upset tummies. Put them on Oscar lamb and rice and they went crazy. Maisie even jumped up on the kitchen work surface in her hysterical excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!! Far too much protein for them

My dogs have all been fed on Burns for years and I swear by it! All look really well, no upset stomachs, and stay well and lean with good coats into very old age. Latest dog, who was a rescue, came thin, with starey coat, half shut eyes and generally a bit manky, now after time on Burns is in blooming health, wide bright eyes and he developed washy brindle patches we didn't know he had!

Interested in this thread. I have a whippet who is fast as lightening and graceful as a show hack but boy is he changeable over food. I have three 15kilo sacks of food which have been tried and enjoyed for three days and then abandoned. Chappie seems to be the most favoured but I would love to find something he eats with enthusiasm. I am totally at fault for spoiling him with whatever I am eating for tea too but having been strict with myself and holding off feeding him anything from my larder he will go into a hunger strike. I can't do BARF (much as I'd like to) as he drags his food about the house. (he had to share his food previously with other dogs and cats so this is a behavioural issue) I don't like wet food and he won't even accept gravy on dry food to tempt him. Anyone know of something they cannot help but eat with gusto??

I also feed tripe with a complete. I have freezers in the garage and buy the tripe in bulk from either Durham animal feeds or prize choice. The complete I feed is Arden grange, I have tried others but my dogs don't look as well on anything else.

... Shouldn't laugh but I just had an image of you driving around with hundreds of hanging air freshners in the car with your head out the window breathing in fresh air... Reminds me of when I was learning to drive applied the brakes sharpish in my instructors car and a mouldy ham and cheese sandwich slid forward from under the seat.

I am telling you... it stank worse than a tramps vest... for months all my friends kept asking my why my jeep stank so much.... When I finally traced the offending article it practically walked out by itself...

Thinking "tramps vest" could be a contender for a new flavour of Pedigree Chum along with "stinky bins" and "random hoof parts when the farrier is here" ?

I like chappie as well. Very digestible being fish based. Sad though as I actually quite like the smell. Lol

Mine are fed fresh veg and meat, they are a breed thats intolerent to cereal so can't have standard dog food. They get carrots broccoli and cauliflour, chicken and a lamb knuckle.
Both have not been sick since being on this diet.

I feed my chocolate lab on James wellbeloved the turkey and rice one. She can not eat any thing else as she sh1ts through the eye of a needle she has no tip bits or chews as they upset her tummy. It is expencive but she looks fab and is nice and lean. A lot of chocolate labs do have problems with there weight so we are pleased she is lean.

Wainrights from PAH, i used JWB and changed to wainrights as it was cheaper and very similar! My dogs do have days when they are not fussed on it and if they dont eat it i remove it, they wont starve. Some dogs will eat to survive not because we put it in front of them. One of my dogs will go 2 days without eating no matter what i put in front of her, she`s far from underweight! so dont loose hope with a brand of food perhaps its just not that hungry! Wish they done wainrights for cats as mine wont eat anything apart from JWB! the toerags are costing me a bomb!!!

Just bought a new bag of JWB £47 i think the dog eats better than i do. Lucky i only have one dog. Dazy it would cost you a fortune to feed your lot on JWB.

If you mean best by the dog food that has the least amount off fillers ( grains etc) and most natural dried other than feeding raw meat! then orijen a dried food which from what i am aware from vets is as good as it gets and ziwipeaks ... Freeze Dried meat and they now have another all from www.Bernpetfoods.co.uk can be combined/ mixed so no bored dog! Are the best ....service is fab! Is expensive but they eat less of it as not full off rubbish. Mine love it and love the variety only buy little bags so no one gets bored!! Also fish for dogs is meant to be excellent.

From the evidence this morning coleslaw and lemon meringe pie washed down with a whole packet of haribo seems to be a lovely diet for a BAD whippet.
