Anyone know why there were camera men walking round filming parts of the BSPS Champs?

It will be on Sky in March - think it will be called 'show ponies' or 'showing ponies'.

They were an independent production company who have been commissioned by Sky 1 to make a one hour documentary on the champs, to be shown in March. There will be no voice overs - it will be made up of masses of snippets from the hundreds of interviews they did. Be warned, interviewees had to give complete comments as in an English exam, so there will be strange mothers who suddenly make bizarre announcements such as "I am here in my capacity as a mother, not as a trainer" - what Joe public won't hear is the question - "would you describe yourself as a mother or a trainer first today?". It's not the sort of thing which would ever cross any of our minds, let alone to suddenly announce! My guess is that this will give the impression of some very pushy mothers - I did point out that there are are plenty of very ambitious children out there pushing their mothers to be pushy!!!
The film crews were charming, and although it was incredibly time consuming and sometimes intrusive, it was a one off which will hopefully produce a fun programme for all of us.

Oh! I am so looking forward to watching what was nick-named (even if only in jest by one of the cameramen) as "The Poshbournes" ;D ;D ;D

Ah thats what the film crew were doing.
I saw them interviewing Scarlett Worrow's mum and wondered if it was something for her business, but now it is clear.
Well that really is going to be fun to watch.

I think alot of it was at the workers, because I saw them there for at least a couple of the classes.
Did they go down to the flat rings?

I thought they were filming a couple of Julie T's jockeys but not 100% sure. They filmed in the 12shp blue riband and I also saw them filming a few other times some of the flat stuff.

I doubt that my bit will be featured. They were filming a competitor (not mine) but there wasn't much room to tack up after the strip - I walked backwards and fell over the camera man - uttering a couple of words that certainly could not be aired before the nine o'clock watershed!!!

They filmed us for ages, even when we were completely knackered having our bbq, asking non horsy partner what it was like having us so busy with horses, his reply .....probabaly why were still together because i never see her. Can,t begin to imagine how bad we will look or sound with terrible broad yorkshire accents, hopefuly most of our team will be on the cutting room floor. Very exciting for the kids though.

I was with my mum and on our last day I went to my ponies stable and he was laid down, so I sat with him and cuddled him for a while, then when I looked up I had a camera in my face, it was wierd because it was like my pony rambo knew that he was being filmed as he was hiding his head under my arm, the camera men interviewed me whilst I was in the stable with Rambo. It was an amazing experience at the champs when my whole class was recorded by the tv crew, I will probably never get the experience of being filmed ever again, so I tried my best to enjoy it while I had the chance!!! I am not looking forward to hearing my voice on tv as I hate hearing my own voice LOL!!!!

For SKY, Showing Ponies, programme I think. They filmed the premier league parade, a few classes & interviewed a few people. There was a few notices about it pinned up outside the showers/loos round from the indoor.
