I'm doing some market research on what people are wanting if they joined a riding club. What sort of activities would you want to do? Would you want training nights etc? Would you want the riding club to do shows? If so, open shows or just for the riding club members? Would you want the club to do an adult camp and a child's camp? Thanks for looking and hopefully helping

I belonged to a brilliant RC when I was younger. You had to be 14 to join which I think was fine as children can do PC as well. They had thier own club field with a XC course and a SJ ring. There were regular training sessions in the summer evenings. Hunter trials in the winter and shows in the summer. These were open shows not just for members but the training sessions were for members only. I think an adult camp is a good idea and although I dont remember us having training evenings as such, we did have get togethers to watch videos of Badminton, HOYS,Hickstead etc. I think the important thing is to have an enthusiastic, committed committee!!
