Possibly not the most helpful reply you'll get but my only experience was to take my massive old ginger tom to Olympia to the Cat Club Champs back in the 80's as he qualified for the Blue Peter cat of the year!!! He didn't do so well in that as he tried to take the hand off the judge, but he did get 3rd in best tail and won the Biggest Eyes, purely because the judge had to poke him to wake him up and he got the biggest glare ever.
Sorry not particularly constructive. I only remember him not being impressed with the whole thing but he was a common old mog not a cat born into the showing world.
Good luck!

I do know that the entries are about £30 per class - apprently because of venue hire, cage hire & vet in attendance - makes our horse show entries cheap - but at least you don't need a lorry / trailer to transport!!!!

Does anyone know of any good reputable Persian/exotic cat breeders?

Hi I have 2 birmans that i have shown in the past...
The cat show world is very very strange... even more clicky then the horse world!
It is very expensive to show and not much fun for the cats as they are penned up for the day.
The best place to go if you are after a list of breeders is look on the GCCF web site as this is the regulatory body for the cat breeders.
GCCF over see the shows, there are also TICA shows which is an American organisation...
Let me know if you need any more info
