I'm fed up of being on a yard where your made to feel like a total inconvenience just by being there! It feels like I shouldn't use the field, or the tack room, or the school, or muck out because it fills up the muck heap, or have hay delivered or dare drop hay on the yard in fact just don't come up but make sure you pay the rent.

Would love to move but I have been spoilt in the past by renting my own land and buildings. I really want that again but am now the other side of the country, and finding it very hard to find a farmer willing enough to rent land out. I don't want the politics of a livery yard, I am happy in my own company. But unfortunately have found myself on a yard where if your face fits, you get what you want. Mine doesn't!!! Oh and my pony is worthless cos he's a native and not an eventer (who are far more important)! Maybe I should stop cleaning up after people, turning lights off after people and locking up when they just leave the tack room wide open and go home!!!!

Sorry to hear how things are, am fortunate to be able to have my own place and have never wanted liveries but have given free keep and stabling to a couple who are really helping me out, made a big difference to me so hope you do find somewhere where you can enjoy and relax around your horses

Cammarch they are very lucky people!!! I find it difficult not knowing my area well enough to know the farmers or at least who they are. North eastern farmers seem much happier to rent out a few acres and a barn!!! I am thick skinned so will cope for now, but to be honest it's the poor pony that will suffer come winter when we are at the bottom of the pile for turnout :-( Just wish I could find something else. Theres no other livery yards round here that aren't run by farmers who really don't know what they are doing, which is fine if they let you get on with it but they run it themselves with odd ways of doing it!! I have advertised with no response.
