There are various tear stain remover products on the market, although I can't comment personally as all my dogs are dark!
Maybe just try to find a product that works with your dog or call your local vets and ask the nurses for a recomendation. Is the pup and cats getting on OK? Good luck with her x

I ALWAYS use fairy liquid on my westies face, and all over his body, doesnt do him any harm, and is great with getting out the stains.

the stains are from the tears and saliva which stain the coat on white dogs...
fairy liquid is good, but be very careful around the eyes. I wouldn't want to be washing a puppy regularly with fairy though as it takes the natural oils out of the coat..

I use TESCO sensitive eye make up wipes, on my GSD. They dont irritate her at all. If she is teary - I use optrex allergy eye drops and use sudocrem round her eyes, if they get sticky. She has seasonal allergies and the vet recomended human treatments as cheaper than doggie treatments!

If you google Petcetera (not sure if I'm allowed to post a link) you will find they stock quite a few tear stain removing products. The one which I've heard gets the best results is All Systems Whitening Gel, you apply it to the stained area and leave overnight then wash it off the next day, although I have heard that some people leave it on for longer periods between shows. It will probably take several applications to lift the staining initially. I would then apply a little clear oil to the coat under the eyes too to prevent further staining, you will have to be quite persistent if you want to keep the stains at bay, I must say the problem did put me off owning a Maltese although they are lovely little dogs. I used to own a pale gold Lhasa Apso that I showed and he did have some staining which I managed to control to a certain extent although obviously it wasn't quite so noticeable as it would be on a white dog. I'd love to see some photos of your new pup

Thank you !! I will certainly check the sight out , someone or somewhere I've heard apple cider vinegar helps by neutralising the acidity in the tear duct if you put a drop or 2 in the drinking water , I bought some today , to try , will get some pics up soon she is so cute she trots like a show pony straight flick out legs lol x

i think most people chalk white dogs to within a inch of their lives for showing so that would cover it temporarily but i always was told to use baby shampoo that doesnt sting theyre eyes for staining.
