Whilst it wouldn't be outside of the rules, I would guess if another horse goes equally well in a plain cavesson they would stand above you. Because a flash is there to stop the pony opening it's mouth, which is an evasion of the bit. Which suggests your pony would evade the bit without the flash if that makes sense.

Yeah, have thought about riding in with it then taking it off before i go in ring! Idealy would use in ring. . . But not sure how it would go down!
