why were they not showing the original mark sheets for the m+m ridden and showing a typed up copy instead? is it what usually happens now then?

I heard that the exmoor class was judged as some sort of musical ride and was the most bizarre thing on this planet .

the highland that went champion was stunning though so the judging obviously couldn't have been that bad!!

Nice to see you ordered the weather for us Scots! But we're not used to lightening like that! Did it actually strike the ground? Someone told us, it hit the workers ring A bit too close for comfort! Otherwise, it was a lovely show and hope to make the trip back one day

YES I AM SHOUTING AND I AM BOASTING TOO!!Given that this year is so bad its unbelievable we had the most amazing, wonderful, never to be repeated luck when our wonderful whp Turton Kitty Fisher won the 133cm whp - I shamed everyone nearby by bursting into tears and shouting - you'd have thought we'd won a HOYS ticket - but I don't care - fancy winning (albeit by one mark) at 27 yrs of age - and beating Bunbury Best Man who seems to win everything! The RP's were really nice to us and its the last ever time Kitty will go to Three Counties (let's face it, she is so old she remembers the Malverns when they were mountains) as she is retiring at the end of this season. To make the weekend even more once-in-a-lifetime Kitty went out and won her open ODE section on a score of 26 at Sapey the next day. Needless to say, she is out for the day, relaxing in the pouring rain.....so I forgot my flu and ear infection for a while at least..... One of the judges saw us a bit later and was so kind about Kitty who even I must admit, jumped like a stag. Gosh we are lucky to have her!

A huge well done to you Julie, and your daughter...and of course Kitty. There is nothing like a good win to boost moral is there?? (Not that it happens often..then, like buses, a few tend to come at once!!!).
I'm sure it was Kitty advertised in H&H some years ago (6 or 7??) and a good friend of mine begged me to go and see her for my daughter. I didn't and regretted it for ages! I hope you get a mention in H&H!!!
A win is always sweeter when it is in good company - Bunbury Best Man is indeed a lovely pony - beautifully produced, ridden and turned out and such a good stamp of a whp. You must have gone very well indeed to beat him.

:PThank you - she did go beautifully but even I will admit there probably was a little sympathy vote for her...but I am grateful for it (if it did happen) as she has always been a top class pony with not one mark on her legs after all these years. The RP's were very generous with their praise for her which just goes to prove that workers - whether mm or plaited - are the best classes to compete in! We then spent £36 we can ill afford on 4 photos of her - when I went to pick them up the photographer said "oh is that the old pony? I stood next to the judge and she kept saying what a wonderful pony she is" which made my day (again).
And a final blow of the Kitty Trumpet - when she went to Kings Heath a few weeks ago I had the chief steward wander up to me and ask how old she was now as the judges/course builders/steward and photographer in the centre of the ring all recognised her and were trying to decide just how old she was! She won that class too, bless her.
(Mind you, she takes off with my daughter at least once a week which I always take to be a sign of well being! I met the previous to one owners who told me they had seen her for sale and mentioned they might go and try her out - they were advised to just take their lorry and go pick her up.....sorry to be a bore but she is soooo wonderful! I just wish I could find a pony this side of 20 that I can afford for next year! )
Sorry to go on!
