I'm not repeating myself over and over regarding quarantine issues. Knowing the symptoms and how quick the onset of them were the vet believes much of it was preventable!

As a total outsider (ie someone who doesn't own affected ponies) I too was disappointed with how the whole flu episode was dealt with (or not dealth with!). IMO a largescale event such as the Royal Highland should have a contingency plan for dealing with viral infections and it should kick into place immediately and not have people hanging around for the best part of a day wondering what is going to be done. Yes, much of the cross contamination would have already occurred, but that doesn't mean that none of it happened during Saturday and Sunday when stopping the public walking up and down the lines could have helped stem the spread. Can I suggest we move away from this aspect of the show now as I'm sure lots of people have varying opinions and most will have had a chance to have their say.

Not go a clue what you are all taking about but what a great picture with all the highlands and the heads over the doors.
