Could i just say i am Henry's mum but definitely not "henrysmam" who logs in. I am saying brilliant for them all. When everyone knocks people on here why are we now being told of for praising them........

Sara, I'm not telling anyone off for praising Aimee! Too right she did well, she ought to be incredibly proud of herself and I'm pleased for her, as I said in a previous post I do like The Judge and I'm sure he had stiff competition. I'm not knocking Aimee or her pony - hats off to them both!
My point was the threads quickly turn into floods of personal messages, which makes it difficult to find the results and discussion about the classes. Guestless - if it was possible for me to skip past all these messages, I would do so! But how can I, if they are all in the same thread? It would be so much easier to keep the congratulations separate so those of us who weren't at the show can find out who did what!

Well done everybody - and thank you Area 20 for a great show.
What a sad state of affairs people would clearly much rather come on here to read others comments slating competitors than congratulating them on their achievments - shame on you Zomfray

Can I just say that the site does encourage people to post results and I am sure we all like to know who and what has done well in all classes.
It is the individual’s choice if they would like to post a message saying well done to winners of any class.
Please don’t knock people for making that choice.

Zomfray - get a life have you heard of the scroll down button. Why have you not commented on other threads if this bugs you so much - it goes on all the time. You havnt been on here re the slating of Aimee that has also gone on from this forum, that obviously doesnt bother you. You are just trying to spoil a really happy and successful achievment - again shame on you. WELL DONE AIMEE AND JUDGE. Picton h/f/d Henry Hirds on a highland - go Henry go C&D Sam Roberts of a young dun B and Champion.

I know it happens all the time - that's why I tried to get in early to say something before this thread escalates like many others have into pages and pages of nothing but people saying "well done". A lot of good it has done me! I've already said I don't know Aimee, I have no idea if she gets slated a lot. I try really hard to avoid the personal messages threads - but it can get bloody difficult! Yeah, I scroll down, yeah, I try to ignore them... but I want to know the results, and to do that you have to look at the posts to see what they say! It's all very well telling me not to read the posts, but how does one find out results without reading posts?! It's only after I've read it that it's clear it's something I don't want to read. I am not trying to take away from Aimee's achievement - I've already said that I like her pony and I'm pleased she's qualified him for Olympia. It is a massive achievement of which anyone would be proud. All I am saying is it would be a lot easier to find results if personal messages were kept separate. That's all!

Well done to all who did well in their classes today. HOWEVER... any chance you can keep all the personal congratulations to a separate thread? This one is quickly turning into another Aimee (&^%$ Appreciation Society, and it'd be nice to hear about other results too. If that is not a nasty comment what is, why dont you just drop it.

Whilst I apreciate that everyone has an opinion, it is pointless continuing this debate about Zoomfray's comment- horsegossip welcomes congratulations and are not going to stop people making them. So can we get back to discussing area 20 please?

I know there are people who come on this site who are interested in the plaited ponies. Res Supreme was Wellstan Orlando owned and bred by Mrs Beryl Wells (produced by Julia Ryde-Rogers) Flying the flag for the riding ponies!

Was very disappointed with the final results in the HOYs Lead Rein. When I went to look at the marks, I found my pony should have been 6th placed shared with another who also gained 82 marks. The 6th placed pony had 81 marks. When I mentioned this at the secretary's office received quite a 'it's not important comment'. I think it is important that the final mark sheet is calculated correctly and the winning placings be right. Especially as there were 2 judges and 2 stewards looking at them for ages whilst we were waiting in the rain! The entry fees are not cheap and as I commented "It is not rocket science to put the highest marks in order" It is not about receiving a sixth rosette, it is about getting things right!

"Other results: Sam Roberts was Res Ch in Olympia championship with a Palomino Sec B (sorry dont know its name). Smalls section was won by a chestnut Sec A." Who rode the Dales then in the championship? Hope not the owner, she's to big for it. Sam obviously thought the B had a better chance at the ticket. Have to disagree the Barkla pony goes better for its owner (not a dig at sam = the owner must know it better). It won Windsor (twice) and qualified for HOYS wth the owner so your comments are unjustified. They are a really lovely people and a lovely mother and daughter team, and not afraid at helping as well as competing.

If the winner of the HOYS M&M LR was the Baldwin's pony then it is probably Cosford Xcella (won at BSPS 8 and had a picture in H&H).
