Not sure if anyone can advise me on this, we are travelling from the south up the M5, looking at a map is it easier to stay on the M5 to the M6, leave the M6 at junction 13 pick up the A449 then the A518 where it crosses, then upto uttoxeter and join the A50? yes i would say so as road to eland lodge is just off a50, that would be the way i did it anyway! x

Have just received 2 different 48 hour weather forecasts. Both show extremely heavy rain and even give extreme weather warnings for the area this show is being held. Just wondering if Tanina, Bev or anyone from the show committee could tell us if there is any possibility of cancellation?
Thanks.

Oh... I wish I had a crystal ball, I've been watching the weather reports and checked on the internet and they have given heavy rain for the area, poor visibility and upto 2 inches of rain expected.......Could they all be wrong!! as we are travelling from this show to another I am concerned about drying out riding gear, tack etc for the following day, I'm a mad adult who can hack a bit of rain and mud but should I inflict it on my young children am I really being fair on them ? and why am I even considering this madness..........the show is holding Hoys qualifiers!!! are these HOYS tickets really worth risking life and limb

please be aware - the A515 at kings bromley has been shut the last couple of days. this is the main route from lichfield to ashbourne. please check your route before you come. we have more rain forecast! directions from lichfield a38 - head towards Rugeley on A51. over the lights at Hedghog pub. take right exit at large island. (A515 signposted Ashbourne) keep on this road for about 9is miles and eland lodge should be signposted about 4 miles the other side of Yoxall. you can see the venue from the A515. Do anybody know if the A515 is still shut? hope this helps

Neurotic driver - don't worry about being towed - I was nervous as hell the first time! Unfortunately it is one of the issues we lorry driving horse people have to deal with. Tell tractor driver you are nervous and to go as slow as possibe - at this stage give him/her a couple of quid for a pint! Make sure you are in neutral and use your brake gently if need be. If you do slide (and really you shouldn't) stear into the slide and don't panic!!! Failing this, get someone else to drive for you.

Please see announcement above, the show is now CANCELLED. So sorry for the organisers, but the correct decision - it's not worth risking ponies, riders, or staff.

Am going to lock this thread. There is another one where you can ask any other questions.
