What was the ground like at Warren Farm?
Was it hard?
Just trying to decide whether to make the long trip to North of England!

We travel to Warren Farm regularly, the ground is sand based under the grass so it is the only show ground I know of that never gets as hard as concrete

That will explain why the earth moved when all the cobs were cantering around the ring on Saturday then - I found it quite disturbing until I relasied everyone esle was thougt it was moving 2!

will say on thing about the ground that I found appalling and that was the amount of ragwort!! plants a foot high in the wagon park along the fencing and rossetts all over the place, sorry but given its an equestrian centre this sent shivers down my spine, given we were on grazed fields. Will add though, brill show, and not just because we had a win!

A big massive thank you to everybody who congratulated me and Ben, it was a missive shock as people there would have seen.
I just want to say how amazing at the amount of people who were genuinely pleased for me, we’ve all been on the end of facey judging, I all ways think the cream will rise to the top even for an amateur like myself, Yesterday shown there was no facey judging in the Olympia ring and it shown by the way the spectators and competitors were over the moon for me even though it wasn’t there day.
As a friend said to me yesterday, "for all the nasty people in the world there are twice as many nice ones"
Thank you again, and I hope yesterday gave a lot of people some hope for the season.

i dont know if anyone agrees but i was watching ring 4 mostly the nps classes and couldn't follow a lot of the judging. Most of the winners were worthy winners bt other placings were a bit confusing where ponies with proven records and who went well were down the line eventhough ponies above them did not go as well. I thought it was a lovely show though

The HFD class was judged appallingly. The top 8 or 9 where stripped regardless of how they went? The rest were asked to leave after each one had completed their individual show despite many performing better. Most exhibits left to be placed made novice errors in their shows yet were not penalised. Bad judging IMHO.
