Fantastic news that Marksman got his ticket today - thank you so much Mathew for doing such a wonderful job with him! Breeders like me need producers like Mathew to bring out the best of our native ponies - I'm so glad my pony is going to Olympia in the last year it's a true open competition!

Congratulations to Charlie for piloting Glenn Mitchener's Dales to win the Picton M & M Championship. We were chuffed to bits when my three year old filly, Synod Miss Pearl was made Welsh Sec A Champ. Beautifully shown by Hannah Horler. Res Ch. M.Cobley's Tryfel Dynamite.

Congrats to Matthew and all connected with winning pony, and to Sarah (my mum !) and Carol for the Reserve with Leo (Floreat Dandelion) -- in only his second ever Olympia class too !! 2nd at Windsor, 1st & Res today .... onwards and upwards fingers crossed!!
And to Sal and the lovely Squid (Sunwillow Jubilee) for 2nd in his first Olympia, who I also adore and have one of his babies (yearling filly) who is just like her daddy . Wow if both Squid and Leo get to Olympia this year it will be super exciting.
Lexy
P.S. Sarah - you know that you always have a rider for your cobs, especially any who you think are good enough for Olympia classes!

Thank you Lexy and Sarah Well done with Leo (can't reply to e-mails at the mo). Lexy if it happens it will be a christmas party to remember.
Greymare congratulations and good luck in the final. I agree with you 200% with regards to the NPS rules I didn't breed mine but he is first and foremost my stud Stallion and being too tall and heavy to ride an A I am one of the may who will potentially be denied the chance to qualify in future. All I hope is that when my colts by Squid are old enough to have a go the NPS will have seen sense and changed the rules back.

Well done to all you owner-breeders.
It is a thoughtless rule which was badly executed.
Some rules are, unfortunately, very neccesary; that one was not and for Breeders, it will close the shop window rather than opening it further. (In my humble opinion, for what it's worth!)

True for me Lexy, but not for many other owner/breeders, or those in Sal's position too.
Sad to see this wonderful competition reduced from an open to a restricted one, glad you agree worntheshirt.

True for me Lexy, but not for many other owner/breeders, or those in Sal's position too. Sad to see this wonderful competition reduced from an open to a restricted one, glad you agree worntheshirt. im an owner, breeder and rider and if my qualifies for olympia then it will be with me on top after all i feel you dont have to be a producer to do a good job. your arguement is flawed. you are basicly saying that if a producer does not ride your ponies then it will never go to olympia well i personally think your stallion is good enough to qualify even if a garden gnome rode him he is wonderful.

I think what they are all saying is they for some reason i.e. age, height, weight (i am not being rude) are not just unable to show the ponies that they breed but to ride them as well therefore they have to get someone to do it for them. I can think of a few breeders who for the above reasons have other people ride their ponies, if you are lucky enought to be able to breed and ride them then good on you but not everyone is in that situation. Thank you for the whp must have been a tough course as it would appear that 3 good jumping ponies qualified.
