Matthew does a very good job on Anne's Highland though we think Jo Jack makes them look the part a touch more.

Having watched the HOYS m&m classes closely, especially the Dales, Fell and Highland class, I have to say that BOTH judges did a very good job.
I saw no bias what so ever just good ponies coming through on the day.
With regards to "buttercup's" comment, Marksman went absolutely fantastic and looked amazing. That's what showing is about - the best animal on the day went through.
Marksman and Torrin maybe different types of pony. Allan Robertson was judging performance at Olympia and Conformation at three counties, two different ways of judging in my opinion. So to imply that he shouldn't like one type to the other is a bit random.
I think the majority of people could see how lovely Marksman looked yesterday and I for one would of been very happy to have been beaten by him had my pony been there.

Well that was an interesting read. I have to say that some of it was a little strange. I got the highest ride mark in the c class and wasnt even placed. And robertson gave my pony highest conf 4 weeks ago and really low yesterday. So makes me think. I am lucky to have already got my ticket. And soooooo looking forward to going. O well that is showing.

Who's your c???

dunedin marksman is an absolutely stunning highland! how can you say its not fair when hes already got his olympia ticket a few weeks ago under a different judge! also hes done about two or three hoys qualifiers this year and had a second and now a win. the original judge was J Bryers therefore was entered to go under her anyway, it is just a very lucky judge change for him as i know for a fact that Mr R loves the Dunedin ponies for years especially Dunedin Megan and Marksman and Megan are very much alike in way of going etc. perhaps i am i little biased but there is fact in what i say!

Small Hacks: Willow Croft Secret Agent (v. nice) Larges: Don't know. Somerset & Devon hacks did not have a good day. 3 or us started the class and none of us finished it! LOL
To be honest I was glad not to be in the ring because while the Large Hacks were in they had some sort of firework thing in the main ring, then a few minutes latter some parachutes landed, then the horse & carts drove past the ring!
