No, which class was it? would it be the nct pony class?? no the one that went Ridden and Overall Coloured Champion (that could presumably cause even more problems ) - the winner of the large plaiteds

The reason I asked is because I have been told by 2 people and yet cannot find it written anywhere, so wondered if anyone else had heard anything

Passing Interest - you are indeed right! I have just received in the post confirmation from CHAPS that we have qualified as the 2nd placed horse in the NNH class. That arrived this morning so you really are on the ball!

the same horse was also in the riding horse classes with a non member riding it,it was 1st in the novice and 2nd in the open.what is the point in being a member when this can happen.the highland show letting you into the chaps hoys classes without a hoys number,so why have one in the frist place.

how did the fact that the rider of the champion coloured was not a member of any of these societies s come to light? so is the animal stripped of all its placings? really do not think you can blame the Highland surely if you then put a driffrent jockey on instead of the one down on the entry form the obligation then must be on the exhibtor to ensure that everything is in order sorry for repeating but pressed send key

Congrats - shame you didn't get your rightful place at the show, but hopefully getting the ticket will be compensation enough

She teaches the owner/rider and the owner rider was on holiday and so she got the ride last minute. One can only assume this has been an oversight by the owner.

bl**dy heck! Surely they can't write to someone and tell them they have the ticket and then take it back

I find it amusing to read these above posts and how quick people assume things and jump on the band wagon. The jockey of Ozzie was indeed a member and the owner is not so stupid that she would put a jockey on that was not registered!! It will come out in the wash very shortly that it was indeed a clerical error with chaps that has caused all this confusion. Thus Ozzies HOYS ticket still stands.

Just Spoken to Kerrie... and she confirmed the rider of the NNH Class was a member so the qualification still stands - so Buffy has not qualified

What an absolute bl@@dy shambles!! CHAPS need to take a close look at their procedures for this and need to eat a huge amount of humble pie on this one!!!! If I was the 'original' and now definite winner/qualifier who had been 'accused' of having incorrect membership/registration (and this fact leaked all over the place) then I would ahve serious issues with CHAPS. Equally if I had recieved a letter informing me I had qualified and then have that removed from me, I would be absolutely furious and would be causing a serious fuss too!! And what about the other classes that were in question too? are they a 'clerical' error too?

Just bathed Buffy and about to depart for the Royal. HG on the ball again! I found out from Puzzle who kindly called otherwise we would have been on our happy cloud still! Good Luck to Its Ozzy at HOYS, fingers crossed and everything else that we are also there with you but I htink somehow I must have done something to upset himself up there and will be watching from the grandstand. I can understand how errors occur, at the end of the day we are all only human. Must say though its a fairly pants start to my birthday!
