Fmm, I understand your frustration, and would just like to explain myself a bit. I was off line yesterday, from 8.45am onwards, (school trip, nightmare!) however, I spotted the first post referring to yourselves as I was more or less ready to leave the house. I posted in the mods area highlighting the thread and asked the other mods to monitor, which they did, and Guestless posted a warning on this thread. So it's not quite correct to say we took no action.
I agree that you cannot defend yourself against allegations which are unspecific, so yes, the person involved is cowardly to post as a guest, and needs to be specific in their allegations, under their own name, so that they then can be properly investigated and either proven or denied. You are quite open about your own identity on this forum, so I don't have a high opinion of anyone who wants to snipe anonymously.
I would also like to say, that anyone who spots posts which may be libellous or defamatory, please PM us and let us know. I try to be around as much as possible, but I do have other responsibilities and can't be on the ball 100% of the time. Anyone who has PM'd me will tell you I do respond and I do act if you just let me know about things.

The jockeys name was Nia marshalsay on the large int. She isnt the stand in jockey, she is his regular jockey and has done a fantastic job on him.

And Floreat Dandelion got his ticket at South of England.
I agree, that is a shame. And if I was in that class and next one down to have not qualified I would be gutted !! Problem with these big shows is that the entry date is so far in advance and expensive that people have already paid up and planned to come and don't want to miss out. I can see it from both sides for sure.

I agree it is a shame, perhaps the tickets should be able to go down to 5th place, what if the same thing happens to the rest of the qualifers there will be very few ponies in the class at hoys

Although it is academic as this is the last Royal show i do think that an exception should have been made for this one. As it is such a prestigeous show to win you are going to take something which has already qualified. It would very rarely happen elsewhere but the Royal did attract all the top animals qualified or not.

Wow, a lucky show for Fiona & Rodders !! Many congrats.
hp - yes do agree, Royal used to be a just a "big show" in its own right (no qualification), like Northleach and Royal Welsh are (for the welsh at least). And this is why Dandelion still did it as both Carol & Sarah really wanted to go for the prestige of it being "The Royal". Also he is really still very inexperienced when it comes to big shows and Carol very sensibly thought he needed a bit more ring experience in this type of atmosphere before going to the Royal Welsh in a couple of weeks.

as far as i understand this is not the last royal they plan to carry on the equestrian side of things , well thats the last i heard from the office !! but i stand to be corrected ? Whilst there are talks of an equestrian festival it wont be they Royal though will it? The Royal is the most prestigeous agricultural show in England only on a par with the Royal Highland and the Royal Welsh. Can you imagine the furore if they tried to stop the Royal Welsh? ?

And I agree Lexy Hoys ticket or no it would still have attracted the top animals in the country for the mere chance of winning there.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up but wasnt intending the jockey wasnt doing a good job on him we was all just saying i hope shes ok now.As can be quite frightening when a big horse like that is rearing vertical
