No lights for the evening though!! Its to be held in the main arena (on grass) but no grass when the daylight goes ... where does the grass go when darkness falls? quite eerie ... does it get drawn back into the ground by some evil spirits living in the earth or does the organisers roll up the turf and put it away til next year? (tee hee!)

all rings except showjumping are on grass. parking is split between grass and the hard standing at the top. but the ground is fine at the mo, wont stand much rain tho. not too sure bout lights if it finishes before 9 should be fine but there be probs if not!!!

Me too Cayo, think the judges had already made their minds up before they got into the ring though. No atompshere last night, probably due to the horrible weather, Rumworth Crescent Moon went fab and i though would have took supreme of day and as ever cayo your mare looked fab, even with her pulling tongues to everyone lol. Ground looked awful to ride on, you all deserve medals! One thing though why was there no sashes for champions and supreme of day champions???

enjoyed the festival and had some good results, my hubbys sec c won the youngstock and was 4th c&d's very pleased with him. we did get sashes in the day but i was disapointed there werent any sashes in the evening, just looked abit flat!!! but had a great show.
however i do think they should drop this points system, is far too easy to make mistakes, and when the weather was soooo bad all the sheets disintegrated and they couldnt read them!!!

There were sashes, we had to collect them later as they didn't want them getting wet in the rain....My daughter was Reserve Supreme of Day on the Dartmoor. What a day, very wet and cold but couldn't be happier...she is only six with a very rare liver disease and wan't feeling too good but it was only the second time she had been in a night performance and she wanted to do it, and I am really proud of her...
I agree, great organisation from FOC, first time we have been...just a shame about the weather.....
