Thanks so much for all the kind comments about my judging. I had a lovely morning; very nice ponies and extremely polite riders. It was a pleasure to be there!

Had a fun day yesterday - thanks to Piper and all the crew, you really do a fab job:-)
Thought there was a lovely atmosphere yesterday, and it was really nice to meet Ada too and her lovely daughter and pony. Hope to see you around the circuit through the winter:-)
Managed to lose my mobile at Charnock Richard services, hunted high and low for it and set off home as no-one had handed it in - BUT my faith in human nature was restored as we got a phone call about a mile up the road to say it had been found! So off at the next junction, back down M6 collected it and then off back to next junction down to turn round!!!!
When we got home Jessie (our mare we nearly lost with colic) had such a strop because Lorna had been to a party and she hadn't!!! So hopefully we will have the team there next year - looking forward to it already!

The photographer was Steve Dawes of Real Time Imaging (RTI) and I would think they'll be on his website pretty soon. I'd just like to take this opportunity to say a big thankyou to everyone who's posted on here, called into the Marquee and sent emails etc., to the Office, it means a lot when members take the time to thank everyone for all their hard work, especially Jayne, Janet and the Show Committee. It can be a thankless task, as was demonstrated on Sunday by the two competitors who behaved in a manner which was unacceptable to say the least.
Thanks again to all our lovely members and good luck to anyone lucky enough to have qualified for HOYS, see you next year at one of the shows.
Pam Ashton Chairman NCPA

I do not usually air my views quite so publicly but after having experienced the judging in the FR on Sunday I still feel compelled to write. Having done a foot perfect mannerlyshow my child stood at the bottom of the line, other ponies wrong legged it all the way round and another napped it half way in its show and ran back into line but these stood aboth her. Ater many years showing I realise judging is very subjective especially in M&M classes due to the various types forward and it is wise to pick your judges but some times judging is blatantly poor, my jockey is clever enough to realise she did her job really well and she is not sat on a 'market pony' but it does not offer her much encouragement to carry on. If the judge had offered an expanation for the results like in the sp ring which i applaud I do wonder what might have been said! Its not sour grapes but I do just think something should be said and done as it it does not reflect well on the showing job at all.

klh, I also usually would rather keep my opinions of judges decisions to myself, BUT in agreement with you, I am baffled by sundays m&m FR class. my daughters pony was mannerly, did a super show, went sweetly and in true FR style, yet she was'nt even placed!!! ponies further up wronglegged it, were tanking with their jockey,s and looked extremely sharp, others had pelhams . It would have been nice if the judge had spoken to the kids, giving some advice or pointers.I have said that Iwould not be a judge for anything [ its a thankless job,Iadmire anyone who is] BUT somtimes I wonder if they are watching the same class as me!!!!!!!!!!! My jockey is only young how do I explain it to her???

Great show as always, thank you to ll the NCPA team.
The WHP course was fab, with ditches, banks and all sorts so well done David! It was a shame not more people contended these classes but we were made up with our horses. Emmie won the Novice and Open Intermediate WH on her 5 yr old Hearts on Fire and the Open 153cms WHP on Pablo ii.
We did not stay to contend the championship as it would have meant waiting nearly 4 hours, maybe the championship could be after the WH classes finish next yr? Just a suggestion.

Sorry you didn't wait beenthere as we did shuffle the Champion of Champion classes so that they went on as soon as each section was finished. Seems like a sensible way of doing it for future reference as it's hard to predict what order things will finish in.

Beenthere, love both of yours. Your 5yr old is fab, certainly one to watch out for next season. Your daughter (?) is a fantastic rider, it was a pleasure to meet and judge her.
