Some results.
The large hack champion was Jerome's True Blue. Small hack winner was Take Silk.
Small riding Horse and reserve was Robert Walker's Silken Story and Large and Champion was Simon Charlesworth and Hillocks Rustic Gold.
Novice Hack was Danielle Heath and The Perfect Gent, think she also won the novice riding horses. The hack was champion novice.

Why was Rob Walker stripped of his Novice win?

He was stripped of his win and reserve champion because someone objected. The judge (P Crafts) had a hunter produced by Robert last year - a clear contravention of the rules.
Seems silly to have entered in the first place.

Why was Rob Walker stripped of his Novice win? Apparently the judge had a horse on his yard last season

judge should have known better than to allow Rob to continue with the class then - they are both at fault

Rob phoned to ask if he could exhibit and asked judge, all said ok for this year as that was last year when the horse was there. Seems not. Rob is not a cheat, never has been and works very hard . If you had had the chance to ride a horse that has schooled by him on a before and after you would appreciate his skill. So before you all start slagging him off forget it . There are jealous people out there of whom Rob has more talent in his little finger than they are likely to get in a lifetime.

I don't think anyone was having a go at his production skills timmy.
He shouldn't have gone under the judge full stop.
Why oh why to people do this!!
No wonder there is so much suspicion in showing about people cheating!
An experienced producer should not do this. But what makes me laugh the most is the face that no-one can do anything about it it unless a brave person objects.

not wishing to really stir stuff hear but i am a bit confused as someone said katy jerram showed at the southern show in hacks but wasnt it under the judge who owned the hack 'fame academy' last year? Surely this is the same situation as Robert Walker so maybe it is just in the current year. I am not saying it made any difference anyway to the results but maybe their is an underlying ruling if 2 top (and in my opinon very good and very fair) producers have done the same thing. I cann't remember but BSPS wise can't you show under someone you rode for in the previous year but not the current year so maybe rules have changed this year? confusing

It is amazing that a judge new to the panel did not know the rules you would have thought he would have made a point of looking at them. Page 7 Rule 4 (4) (i) in black and white it is not down to interpretation and Rob Walker has been showing long enough to know this rule too. Sports Horse (GB) are the same. At the end of the day there are plenty of novice classes to go in aren't there? BSHA and SHB(GB) rule books are small compared to BSPS every one gets sent them pity they seem to be ignored!!

At the end of the day if Robert phoned up to check and was told he could enter, then I don't think it is fair for anyone to put the blame on him.

Guestless, you have missed the point. He should not have phoned the judge to ask the question in the first place, what he wanted to do was against the rules. As a profesional producer it is his responsibility to KNOW THE RULES. If he had known the rules he would not have made the enquiry surely.

A matter of conscience?
Whether the rules are written in black and white or not, if you go under a judge whose horse you have had in the yard, then you are putting that judge in a tricky and unenviable position. Consciously or not, your very being in the ring pressurises the judge and it takes a very strong person to say 'although I have had connections with you, today I do not like your animal and I will not place it'.
