Personally I feel that some of the splashes outdoors are just as confusing for the ponies! I was sorry to hear about the many very good ponies that were eliminated yesterday. any results for the other RI m&M WHP classes??

Congratulations with Romeo - was Heather riding? Thankyou, and no I wasn't, mum was riding due to I've hurt my back and I'm now doing physio at the moment, so I've been told to rest it, hopefully I'll be back in the saddle in a few weeks and will be riding at RIHS even if it kills me! lol

thanks Fiona and dancer. Unfortunately Heather has a back problem and her physio has told her not to ride at the moment, so Anne is riding him for a while. Jasmine is on holiday and will be going to stud this year, she is sooo wanting a foal of her own.
Any M&M LR/FR results? We came home early, didn't stay for the supreme, had loads to do at home after a very late finish Saturday and early start today.

Wasn't this pony on Julie Templetons yard at the start of the season though? Allow me set the record straight- Van Gogh came home over the Christmas break and is 100% eligible for the Pretty Polly. However I must say thank you to Julie and Fiona they chose Mac for Beatrice and we are very very grateful. Well done Beatrice you made Mummy and Daddy very very proud today xxx

The water splash caused carnage in each section with a large percentage of the ponies, getting eliminated. This was very sad to watch, what are the course builders trying to achieve by stopping and frightening these good ponies??Disgraceful. its the rules for the RI qualifiers to have a water splash, its ment to be a prestigious event at the final it cant be easy, good ponies got round yeaterday and that shouldnt be taken away from the placings from saturday. you get water in xc, out hacking you have puddles, on the mountains you cross streams etc, we go on beach rides and out huntung. i really dont think its disgraceful. Thank you Course Builder for building a brilliant and clever course which made both horse and rider think. ours went through the water no problems just had silly mstakes in other areas lol but we were thrilled with our placings. Well done everyone saturday and yesterday xxxx

I fully realise that a water splash is the rule - but I am not sure that many of the "contrived" splashes (indoors or out) actually sort the men from the boys! Course builders must ensure that there is not too much of a "handy pony" element in these courses (unless this is what they feel is required!).

its ment to mirror what you find out hunting, if it was handy pony more ponies would have got round surely? but i get your point though xxx
