I was also quite dissapointed with the judging in CHAPS classes, Conformation marks just started high at the top of the line and gradually went down - you cant tell me that they managed to pick out the ponies in conformation order from the go round??? O well

Surely given all this bad feeling, someone involved with the class should do the responsible thing and inform the bsps secretary in the show office. They would be upset to know there's been so much criticism of a bsps judge. An official decision can then be made. As it has rightly been pointed out, shows can't survive without the support of competitors and what's the point of rules without them being upheld? Well said Indigo. Nothing will change if it is only recorded on here - it needs taking to the BSPS headquarters. The judge should know better, and the competitor should know better. It is up to people's own consciences, but if they still insist on competing, then the other competitors are surely entitled to discuss it with the BSPS who may very well be unaware of this situation and will, one hopes, be keen to do the right thing. Sure there are people on here who will support you if you pm them.

Henrietta Windsor-Phillips had a great show. The foot perfect :)d**ebeck Wild Foxglove was brilliant throughout...won all 3 of her classes, Q HOYS, winter champ + a lovely show in the final open supreme. Also on the stunning Wesswood Caste A Spell what a star, won ch winter nov Int SRT, 2nd res, 3rd Hoys + rewarded with best rider for a lovely balanced show that included rein back + one handed. Very pleased... Well done!! yes well done, so lucky to ride such gorgeous ponies.

Next year Im going to let my pony bolt twice in the individual - the judges seem to like it!!! Gosh, I couldn't possibly imagine who you are talking about... To be fair, it was awarded one of the lowest ride marks though. I thought the judging was actually quite good in the restricteds, nice to see lots of new faces up in the placings. Although from the comment I recieved, the conf. judge did seem to be taking go-round into account in his marks. The standard was very good in the restricted classes and some very promising youngsters!

It was my young stallion Tiger Tim who took the CHAPs Restricted Championship.
He is rising 5 and was being ridden by his breeder's son.
To say I am immensely proud would be an understatement - it was very unexpected ;D

showing should b fair, not who knows who, or who flavour of the month with the judge, people put so much time effort and money into tryin 2 qualify and get knocked down, and it is a true shame. good luck to everyone, well done 2 those who do qualify (fairly), and 2 those that don't don't, give up
