Less than a year then you should a have manufacturers guarantee on the item so they are obliged to replace them Just express your dismay/disappointment in the item, plus the fact you have had them replaced twice now and put the ball in their court and ask them what they are going to do if this happens again? Hopefully you may be able to get credit to switch them for some thing else... I doubt you will be able to get a cash refund though.

it's interesting you should make this comment. I've had a pair for a couple of years (only use them occasionally, stewarding, judging etc.) and had to cut myself out of one foot/leg lining (with extreme difficulty) earlier this year.
The other day I saw some advertised on here for sale with one lining cut out......

I've just bough some for £85 off the internet. Just put them on today and starting to wear them in. my cousin has had the same problem with her and she got her's at christmas.
I had a problem with the Toggi boots, similar in style. I got them March and within 2 weeks the stiching on the heel had gone and after 3 months the sole as dissolved off the leather! And they where never waterproof!

Hmm... This is ridiculous.. surely they should be rectifiting this problem!! Unlike the Dubarry ones, the lining is stuck to the side of the boot! unlike the dublin ones!!!

Yes but the dubarry ones are twice the price and leak!! I know which i'd rather have. I've had two pairs of dublins. 1st pair the sole wore out after 18 months and 2nd pair the lining went after a few months and couldn't find receipt. So I just made the rip in the lining bigger so it wasn't a problem, well less of a problem. I've just bought some toggi canyon boots. Hope they last a bit longer. Not quite as comfy though.

In the interests of vanity, when necessary I continued to use mine (one lined, one not) as a 'pair'. To be honest, they didn't feel much difference, except that I can now get my leg and foot in and out of the offending one! Not ideal though.

Had the same problem with mine, then the toe started coming away from the sole. Binned them. Had issues with the Toggi boots aswell, zips broke within a couple of weeks, they replaced the boots then the zips went in these! The shop replaced them then the sole started coming away on these too. I now get CAT boots, last forever and are brilliant!

That's happend to me! I'm glad I'm not the only one! I got them almost 2 years now? And i only wear them on the weekend for riding and the odd job round the yard! They were leaking and had holes in! Sometimes i could barley get them of because they just stuck to my feet! They are absolute rubbish! A waste of money IMO! But the same happend to my sisters dubarrys! Anyone Know of any good boots that last a long time in good quality?

same happened with mine had them 6 months and Dublin refused to replace them as they were "too worn" - no damage to outside other than usual wear on side against saddle. Luckily the shop we got them from repaired them free of charge. Thought it was just mine!

I've now got through two pairs in the space of just over two years, so approximately £250 spent. The lining of the first pair ripped within a few months - this made it really hard to get my feet out of the boots. I bought the second pair at HOYS last year after being reassured that Dublin had looked into the problem and resolved it. Ha ha! Same old, same old - after just a few months the same problem occurred with the lining. I'll never buy Dublin River Boots again. That said, I bought the first pair to replace my 'replacement' Hunter wellies, the first pair of which I'd had for over 20 years and which had finally bitten the dust. The replacement pair of Hunters lasted just 6 months - splits all over the place. Apparently this was due to them being manufactured in China, instead of Scotland, which was where my first pair had been made. After this I went for the Dublins, but two pairs later have gone back to Hunters - mainly because I found them on sale cheaply at a show. So far (3 months on) they've been fine but I'm trying not to wear them unless it's absolutely necessary. So, all in all, I don't like Dublins or Hunters, can't afford Dubarrys (but haven't had much positive feedback about these either) so I may just buy some good old-fashioned cheap wellies from the local garden centre and make do with those! Are we all just the victims of 'fashion' yard boots???

In this SparkSunny, you are right, we are all victiims of fashion yard boots, i think i am going to go back to my £20 muckers from robinsons, cant complain if they only last me a year at that price!!!

Hunters were made in Dumfries near where we live. For many years we could go to the factory shop and get "seconds" for a tenner! And in many different colours (for the American market I believe) Sadly no longer the case (or quality) Sigh..................

I had the same problem with the lining on my Dublin boots.. I have a pair of Toggi Canyon boots, they don't leak or anything.. I love them so comfy and warm yeah i agree Hunters aint what they used to be it's because they're trendy now so they are made from rubbish cheaper materials to make more probably, i double take when i see someone wearing them in town....

There is a faulty bach of these boots, both leaking and the lining splitting, you need to take them back to the shop where you purchased them, If you purchased them over the internet from a private sale unfortunatley you will not have any come back, if purchased from a registered weatherbeeta seller than they should be under guarantee normally one year subject to fair use policy i.e those that have been hammered and not looked after will prob not be replaced. Failing that you should be able to get into contact with weatherbeeta themselves using your credit card statemant as proof of purchase and hope that they will replace them.

I've had trouble with muck boots, the lining inside wears out and rubs my heel, I've had 3 pairs they have all started after 3 months of wearing them, I took them back and the manager of our local farmway reluctantly threw 1/2 what i had paid for them over the counter and said - be happy with that! I struggled to get that. Not amused as they had a years guarantee on them...

Have to say, have had my (first pair) Dublin boots (the ones with the laces, as I'm skinny) for just over a year, had meant to keep them for "best" but when the snow came last year they went on, and didn't come off till April, and absolutely no problems! So sorry for all you who have had troubles; it's a lot of money and you do expect to get what you have paid for!

I love my river boots but have always had problems with the right ones lining. It's always ruckled down and I have to really wiggle my feet into them. They are really warm and no probs with waterproofing though I do use renapur to clean them which is amazing!
