sqiljj you seem to miss the point completely. If you go through every single thread that I have ever responded to you will see that not once have I ever found fault with a judge or show, yes I have been to shows were I have found the judging to be not as I would have liked, and some shows were the organization is some what wanting, but do I come on here moaning about it NO. If you feel that the show was not to your liking don't go, we don't, nobody cares whether you or I go, there are always plenty of others that will go, you or I or anyone person do not count, it is the majority. The organizers spent a lot of time and energy putting in this show for people to enjoy, and I would say that the vast majority did just that, what I do object to most strongly are people like you who do nothing but complain (as the per the five post that you have made), the organizers of any show do not need to see things like this, out off shall we say 500 congratulations on running a good show you will always remember that one compliant, and to make it even worse you were not even a competitor.

squilji - do you ride??
i agree with half pass, i've was at UKshowing. and both my rides did well on the saturday as they both got in the evening performance and my bigger ride won the championship for working hunter. but the day after we only go fourth in my hunter class. to be honest i was a little disappointed but i cant complain as we still got into the evening performance as the day classes where huge!
all credit to UKSHOWING to picking nice judges and ones that gave advise on how to improve your horse and for putting on a good show. i enjoyed myself and i know alot of other people did! so all i can say to you is like it or lump it.

I agree flagmountmolly08 at the end of the day you pay your money and take your chance. a friend of mine has a livery yard where one particular person on it continuously slags off judges. aswell as several other people. at one show someone who had been slagged off was judging and had this person to win. safe to say the judging was quite good that day!!!!!!!!!! LOL

i think its funny when people at shows slags someone off, this happend to me this year. someone saying i knew the judge and i was going to win. i'd only walked in the ring!! ui hadnt jumped or anything. i didnt no the judge and he just liked her. the person who was saying stuff about me said it to the horses owner!! OPPS hahahahaha

flagmountmolly that`s really funny! Many many years ago at a local show i won my class on my mothers horse,I was 14 at the time and we had hacked to the show,we did not have transport (thoses were the days) the horse that came second came in a really big flash lorry and the owner was outside ranting that i had ridden at HOYS! I had not even been to HOYS as a spectator! My mum thought it was really funny and a roundabout compliment!

I like Adrian Bradbourne as a judge although he does come out with some strange things at times. He is very friendly. We had a novice out at his first show when he judged, he pulled him in third and he was giving the rider lots of suggestions and spoke to her for quite some time, a complaint was put in then that he was talking to her for too long and giving her too many tips!! Then a few months later he was judging at a different show and recognized the pony outside the ring, noticed what a difference we had made and he went on and won the class. I was concerned then we would get accused of knowing him personally but of course we dont, he just likes and remembered our pony.

He used to hunt with the Cheshires and is a really nice guy - no doubt one of the most honest judges around given he does not know any showing people!

Alex has been supreme with Bella on the Lead rein at UK Showing, Festival, BEE, and more but loves pony club champs, we didnt do this year due to the bit*hiness that goes on which is so unfair she is 7 year old and should be entitled to compete along with all her friends, instead we sponsored the mini champ and put something back in, we will be back next year as they are all now open shows and would say if you dont like the competition dont go, that is what the excitment is about winning and WHEN you beat a hoys/rihs pony just think of the satisfaction you will get... Just enjoy it!!
