Hello all sorry been neglecting hg a bit, I've been searching for a new camera and on a photography forum. It's not as friendly as on here though :-) That's great news about ps22 I must have missed that as I have been thinking of her. Brindle your foal is gorgeous! That bird reversing really made me laugh too!

Morning all. Here I am, been mega busy so not had time to post in here but been keeping an eye on you all. LOTI I had a fab holiday but am finding it really hard work to get back into a routine now LOL. Had 6 snoozes this morning, which is an hours worth and still feel bleary eyed. Have a zap if thats what Dazy says, shes usually right and if SL agrees it must be true. LP, fab news for PS22. Pass on my love and congratulations when you next see here. I'm sure she will be fine this time. Sagey (or any other gardening bods) I have a problem. I have that japanese bind weed in my garden and its driving me bonkers. Everytime I pull some up some more just grows back and its all over my beds and borders My plan is just to keep pulling it up as it comes through for now and then at the end of the season when the bedding plants have finished carefully blast it with some weed killer that kills the roots. Will that work do you think or is there anything else I can do to get rid of it before the end of the summer? Also I planted some lilly bulbs in march and can't see any action yet? Do you think they will come through or are they slow growers and will suddenly bloom? I know one of the varities doesnt flower whilst next year but I'm sure the other one does? Its complicated this gardening malarkey. Brindle that foalie is stunning! We played with the babies last night for an hour. Wanted to wash Mays bum as she has foal squits but it took us 10 mins to persude her to get up. Sue went in and sat with her and instead of getting up out of the way she went to sleep with her head on her lap, then Percy's mum's tail needed a wash and he wouldn't get up either so we went through the whole performance again. It must be hard work being so tiny!

I thankfully don't have that bindweed AMWAP, I believe it is a nightmare. Maybe tackle it at the end of the season with a seriously potent chemical. Not what we like to do, but I think needs must.
LOTI thinking of you at the hospital today, don't forget to put that gel on when you come out so you don't bring home any germs.
What's up with your shoulder highill, frozen? I had a op and few years ago and my instructor has recently had her shoulder operated on.

Morning LP have a lovely lesson - I'm sure it will help you even though your shoulders will be aching for the next few days - enjoy MM - I have had AF but it was a one off episode of fast AF which was why I ended up in coronary care. I think it's been back in 'normal' sinus rhythm since but should find out today. The reason for the beta blockers is a long standing high blood pressure problem and as I'm already on 2 other meds for that the hospital felt there could be valve damage which kicked off the AF. I'm confident there isn't though AMWAP have you posted any photos of Percy - i may have missed them x Brindle what an absolutely gorgeous foal - I too love the 'pilates' pic ;D Hatman please don't stress before your op - you need all your strength and positivity - you will be fine Thanks Sagey - gel in pocket

Thank you, thank you and thank you for all your good wishes They must have done the trick cos the cardiologist tells me the heart scan was all clear ;D - he doesn't know why I had the fibrillation but it looks like it isn't linked to the high blood pressure. I've got to stay on two of the meds for that but the very good news is I'm coming off the beta blocker from tomorrow and he reckons that's the one that's been making me feel like death. I am so relieved - the drama queen in me thought at one point she was on her last legs - typical nurse lol ;D Thanks again guys - hope you are all ok too :-*x :-*x :-*x

That's great LOTI, has he cleared you for exercise? Just I used to get terrible palputations, got put on that whatsit that measures you over 24 hours twice, but each time I didn't get them whilst wearing it. Once you are in to it, you can wear a heart rate monitor and you learn how to get your heart rate to a certain level and exercise and breathe in a certain way to keep it at the same rate for longer periods of time. This is what we do to improve endurance.
However, since exercising it has never happened. Nice fast stuff that gets you sweating with the heart getting a good seeing to.
I have very low blood pressure, do you?
Talking about exercise, I tried that Zumba yesterday. It was rather fun, I laughed a lot, but still had a good work out.

Thats great news LOTI
sagey - long standing problem with shoulder - have already had 4 or 5 lots of surgery. Basically its worn out - very arthritic - tendon not attached to the bone - just a big hole where it should be joined on.
Had an injection right into the joint today of pain killer/acid/steroid and then will have an op (after Equifest!!) to refurbish it a bit - scrape out the joint and then in the long term it looks like i am gonna have a new metal shoulder replacement - sounds pretty serious stuff when you are only 41 but if it takes th e pain away I'm up for it
On the strength test machine i have 9.8kg of strength in my right arm and only 2.1kg in my left.

I say, a metal shoulder, how marvellous, the things they can do. Are you sure it isn't a plastic one? I would ask for aluminium myself, less maintenance.
My instructor was really reluctant to have the op, she didn't want to miss her eventing. In the end it was so very painful she had to but she has been wonderful since. She had to have bone shaved off, spurs she had. She tried the injections prior, but they didn't help at all. She has a high pain threshold and rode throughout, but she said the pain was horrific at night and she couldn't sleep either.

Had the spur of bone taken off last time!! your instructor is right - unbelievably painful. he is not hopeful the injection will help but wanted to give me one jab to lubricate the joint a bit . Thie is at Reading Shoulderr Clinic where Mr Copeland who invented the replacement shoulder was based - he has now retired (My brother was his last patient) The surgeon i am seeing has taken over from him and been trained by him. He also happens to be a very gorgeous talian - i had to remind myself to listen to what he was saying a couple of times!!

Evening all xxx LOTI That is fantastic news ;D ;D HH We will have to start calling you bionic woman! xxx Took hubby's Uncle for a hospital appointment today... long story but, He is 81 this year He has MANY medical problems, but they are going to give him a new hip They have told him today that with all that is wrong with him, he is very very high risk!!! He still said yes! He has been in a wheelchair for 9months and they have said he is unlikely to ever walk again, but it will take the pain away!! They said he should here from them again in about 8 months time! What do you guys think?
